Progress
First things first...I do realize that it's been 2 months since I last updated...sorry about that! I have been incredibly busy getting ready for and now running Kids Kamp at Shades (we're currently in week 7 of 10), but that's not really a good excuse. Mostly, I haven't had much progress to report up until now. It's been pretty slow going, but over the last week or so, several things have come together. Since my last post I've:
- applied for an FBI background check, (which came back all-clear...i know you were worried)
- set up a partnership with Shepherd's Staff Missions Facilitators (Shepherd's Staff will be handling all my fundraising and administrative paperwork, which means I am now all set up to start fundraising)
- lined up a place to live on the island (which will be with a very nice lady who only speaks Portuguese...talk about cultural immersion!)
- worked on getting the paperwork together for my visa (which is proving to be a much slower process than I had hoped) and...
- made a prayer card!! Check it out!

I'm really thankful knowing that many of you have already been praying for me and will continue to do so as I move forward in this journey! Over the next few weeks my goal is to get these prayer cards out to as many people as possible and start lining up prayer and financial support.
