People Watching

Today has been an interesting day, mostly because of the people watching that comes as an added bonus to traveling through several different airports. I've seen families saying goodbye to grandparents, soldiers heading off to their next assignments, and high school soccer teams traipsing back and forth, lost and unsure of where exactly they were supposed to be. All this people watching makes me wonder how many of these people are on a journey like mine, or how many of them don't have a clue what their purpose in life is. It makes me really thankful for a family who taught me to love God and seek His will for my life. (Thanks Mama & Daddy!) I can't imagine how lost I would feel without the Lord.  I know some of you out there are reading this because you love me, but you don't really get the whole "God's plan for my life" thing.  You feel more like that lost soccer team than the soldier with marching orders. I want to challenge you to really think about this. God has a plan for your life, a plan for hope and a future! Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  He's talking about you and me there. You have no idea how much your life will change if you honestly give God's plan a chance. One day you could be the one siting in an airport, watching people around you, blogging about how the Lord is working in your life! An hour from now we'll be boarding our overnight flight, and arriving in the islands only 5 hours later, but for now...i'm going to sit back and enjoy.
